Nominations & Elections

We have changed the length of office terms to reduce the number of elections that must be run to one per year. At the same time we are encouraging participation to anyone who would like to take part in the running of the the most prolific organization dedicated solely to the benefit of powered paragliding.

If you would like to be an officer, thank you for your interest. Here is how to get placed on the ballot.

1. Be nominated by two USPPA members in good standing and submit a nomination request, in writing with the nominator's signature, to our mail address as listed on the web's front page. Each nominating individual must have their name, signature, member number and date.

The form must at least say "I ___________ (nominating person) do hereby nominate ______________ (your name), for the position of _______________ (Office of President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer) for the _____ (starting year) term.

2. Submit an nomination acceptance with your name, signature, member number and date stating that you "Accept the nomination for _____________________ (office).

This must be postmarked by the nominating deadline which is Nov 30 of the month before the term begins and no earlier than July 15 of the month before the term begins.

Incumbents will be added to the ballot automatically provided they indicate, prior to the nominating deadline, that they want to run.
