Cape Kawandaat Pacific City, OR The Oregon coast never looked so good. Come join the flyers as we explore the meeting of You can fly as far as you want north or south. This is the most remote area on the north end of the dunes where we can drive onto the beach & pick a good launch area. Winds will dictate where we Fly and we want to be sure we leave room for free flyers on the dunes to have plenty of free flight room. It is hoped to do a 50 mile group X-C, weather permitting, to the south. If you have never flown in this area & live with in 400 miles of it come on out & ck it out . Flying starts Thursday and will hopefully go strong until Sunday night. Bring your Families, come out and fly one of the most scenic beaches in the world. Below is a link to the area. The River house does a 4 star meal that will not be forgotten or land at the Pelican club for some awesome clam chowder .There are also really good free flying sites up & down this area of coast there may be auto towing PG so don't forget the PG harness! http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_180.php |
